Supported Data and Trade Services

Introduction

WinTrend supports the following data and trade services. The links below are to pages that explain the supported data/trade services, their symbols and setup instructions. Please be aware that the amount of historical data you can access, the completeness of data, accuracy of data, and timeliness of data are all very much affected by the service you use. WinTrend is very well engineered software. However, your charts in some ways will only be as good as the data/trading service you are using. Delays and missing data are not a function of our software, but of your Internet connection and the service you are using. We support many excellent and reliable services. One very important concept to understand with WinTrend is that if your service package does not include the particular data service you need to use and you do not have an active and working account with an external data or trading service, then you cannot access the data you want within WinTrend. Also, the external services are separate entities with their own support to assist you with connectivity problems. Our ability to help with connectivity to those services is limited. We will always do our best to help you, however you may need to contact the service you are connecting to, if it is not provided by us, for assistance to make the connection if it fails.

Supported Services

WinTrend is integrated with the following services. These are the preferred data and trade services to use with WinTrend.

	Yahoo Historical Data Automation of getting finance data from Yahoo! FREE for all registered users. Does not include the cost of a WinTrend package.
	Complete Real-time and Historical Data Service: DTN IQFeed Data Cost: 55 USD/month plus optional exchange fees. Does not include the cost of a WinTrend package.
	Trading Platform with Real-Time and Historical Data: Interactive Brokers (IB) (Data Cost: usually $0 - $10/month. Does not include cost of a WinTrend package. A trading account is required) IB Symbol Formats and Common Symbols.
